You may question as to whether you need an estate lawyer or not. This is a common question for PA Lawyers with clients who question this. Some states may require an estate lawyer and others may not, depending on the case. Contacting your local real estate attorney will help you learn the protocol for your area.

Three Reasons to Hire a Real Estate Attorney

  1. Are you buying a property that is a short sale/bank owned/ or an estate sale? If you are purchasing one of the above then hiring a real estate attorney can be beneficial for        you. They will guide you through the process and help make sure your sale is legal and goes   through without a hitch.
  2. Are you buying property that could have structural issues? If a house has been foreclosed or not much information is relayed to you, an attorney can help      you find the answer. Your real estate transaction can be completed with your attorney and help    you get the best deal for the property.
  3. Are you selling the property on behalf of a deceased person? Your attorney can help guide you through this. One should be considered during something like   this because money can be allocated where it needs to be should there be a will in place for this person. Again, confer with a lawyer to help you understand the laws in your state!
